- Finely chop the pepper, the cilantro, and the mushrooms
- Chop the green onion- keep the white tips that do not have root flesh (see picture)
- Turn a skillet on medium high and add garlic and nonstick spray to the skillet
- Add the pepper, mushrooms, and green onions, and sautee until they no longer appear turgid (see picture)
- Put ground turkey in a large bowl and add a pinch of salt and pepper and the vegetables and cilantro
- Stir with a wooden spoon or thoroughly washed hands
- Form into patties
- Heat a skillet on medium and add nonstick spray
- Put the turkey burgers in the pan and cook until slightly brown-- I use a lid to ensure even cooking throughout and then finish them with the lid off
